Sunsoul - Healing your inner self

Healing through Reiki, Seichem, NLP and Hypnotherapy

Suppressed memories can cause pain, anxieties, anger and many other difficulties. In some instances revisiting current life traumas can be too painful. At such times light hypnosis allows us to resolve trauma in a safe environment.

Finding healing of body and mind is often made much simpler and faster with regression therapy, where we can view or safely relive those experiences in a way that permits transformation of the memories and their subsequent conflict.

Sometimes, we discover that our earliest memories of a certain feeling or sensation seem to go back before our current lives and into a life experienced perhaps hundreds of years ago.

There are many documented examples where regression therapy and past life regression have been used successfully. See below for suggested reading.

Past Life Regression

Many of us have experienced Deja-vu feelings of having been somewhere we have never seen before yet can find no explanation for those feelings. Large numbers of people also experience unexplainable fears and pains: sensations of tightness around the neck; feelings of injuries where there have been none; obsessive thoughts, panic attacks and phobias.

All those difficulties can have their roots in apparent past lives. Returning to review those lives in a comfortable, light hypnotic trance brings those hidden experiences into our awareness where we can be gently guided to bring healing into our current lives.

Sometimes we would like to look at past lives out of curiosity, just to ‘see what I was like in another life’ and there can be many surprises surfacing. Anything from belonging to a loving family to having lived in or near a castle centuries ago can be experienced.

Where there are unexplained behaviours, once we know the reason behind a certain behaviour or feeling that we just can’t quite explain, it often clears up by itself. When instant healing does not begin to occur, the therapist can guide you through the journey to find the answer.

Whether we see a past life as a metaphor for healing in this life or return to full awareness having experienced the past life so strongly that we feel there is no explanation other than we lived that life in reality, it remains a fact that many people reach wonderful levels of healing through past life regression.

The concept of reincarnation is not tied to any one religion or culture. It is a belief that has been acknowledged for thousands of years. Can pain and suffering flow from a past life into a current life? Do we take particular memories with us? Many questions have been asked and perhaps one of the best ways to illustrate this is with a client’s case history. The names have been changed to protect the client.

Susan first came to see me because she had recurring feelings of loathing towards landowners. She accepted that they were feelings with no known origin but desperately wanted to address the issues arising from them.

Susan regressed into the life a man born into serfdom in what she felt was early Norman times in Britain. Her name in that life was John and he was bonded to the lord of the manor who treated him appallingly. He had no land himself and no rights. John witnessed many abuses of girls in his village and was completely unable to help them. But one day, one of the lord’s men raped his daughter and at that he snapped and killed the man. He was immediately dragged away and hanged as an example to the other villagers.

Under hypnosis, the life of John was reviewed and as John, Susan was able to meet the significant people in that life. Father and daughter met in the spirit realms and the tearful reunion was both releasing and comforting. John met his daughter’s abusers and those who hanged him and, with the aid of advising spirit guides, was able to forgive them.

What remained, was meeting the lord of the manor which John found he could not do at that time. John chose to take some of the villagers with him to give him support. The conversation with the lord of the manor proved enlightening. The actions taken were not out of any particular malevolence; it was simply the way things were and few of the serfs questioned that way after the Normans had established supremacy in John’s grandparents’ day. In the review of his life in the spirit realms after his death, the lord of the manor had found his behaviour abhorrent. The two quickly reached a point where John could forgive and release his feelings towards the landowner; he was after all, simply playing out the role he had been given in that life. Body therapy was used to ensure there were no potential memories of hanging in the current life.

Susan found that her feelings altered after the regression and, over the following few weeks, they gradually disappeared altogether.

Regression therapy and past life regression require full and special training. Linda is a hypnotherapist registered with the General Hypnotherapy Register, which is governed by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council.
